With dramatic, eye-popping grain patterns, cocobolo is one of R Taylors favorite tonewoods. Big and bold sounding, it imparts a beautiful musicality to every note and is a perfect choice for those looking for an excellent all-around guitar. A very dense species, Taylor typically build thier cocobolo guitars with slightly thinner backs and sides.

R Taylor currently offer one body shape, which they refer to as “Style 1.” They designed it to be an all-around guitar that responds well to both fingerstylists and flatpickers.
