Duesenberg Guitars to support the humanitarian aid project "Rebound" in Uganda

For around 20 years now, Uganda is at war. During this period, approximately 30,000 children have been kidnapped by rebel leader Joseph Kony and forced to participate in that war. Others fell victim to assaults of Kony´s LRA "Lords Resistance Army". The unbelievable extent of cruelty is beyond words. Affected children are seriously traumatized and barely able to find their way back into everyday life. The aid project "Rebound" located in the north of Uganda was arranged and organized by World Vision Germany e.V., BAP vocalist Wolfgang Niedecken and outdoor supplier Jack Wolfskin. It supports abused children and teenagers with the ambition to rehabilitate and re-integrate them into society. "Rebound" helps building an independent existence and opening up new vistas by providing a mix of education and "life-skill-training" (hygiene, nutrition, basic education etc.) as well as psychological support to handle the experiences made during war.
As a result of the collaboration with Wolfgang Niedecken we now introduce the prototype of a very special Duesenberg guitar, the "Starplayer TV-Rebound".
This guitar will be played on Wolfgang´s current tour and will be auctioned immediately afterwards via internet. All proceeds of this auction will be donated to the aid project "Rebound".
From 1 June 2009, the "Starplayer TV-Rebound" will be available as an in series model with Tremola or stop tailpice. Portions of the proceeds will be donated to World Vision Germany e.V. and the aid project "Rebound" directly.
