Epiphone has a history dating back to the late 1800's, and with continual rises and falls in success, they were eventually taken over by Gibson in May of 1957. They continued to make more affordable versions of Gibsons as well as continuing with their own models. With their guitars being played by the likes of George Harrison and John Lennon, their place in history is assured.
