It all began way back in 1946 when Leo Fender started the Fender Musical Instrument company. Their first electric guitar, the Fender Broadcaster was released in 1950, it was ultimately renamed the Telecaster, and in 1954 they released the Stratocaster as a guitar for country players.
Artists such as Buddy Holly and Jimi Hendrix however had different ideas, and together with other greats such as Eric Clapton, helped etch the Stratocaster into rock and roll history.
A Fender Custom Telecaster in original Candy Apple Red is quite a breathtaking find. This one is in great condition. The colour has faded to a beautiful tangerine. The pickups, while original, have both been rewound by Martin Kell.
