Way back in the mid fifties a man who was tired of his old Gibson Les Paul digging into his ribs, decided to get one of those new guitars with a contour body.

He then asked a friend who worked the cruise ships between Australia and the USA to pick up a Fender Stratocaster for him on his next trip state side. This is that very guitar, and it is possibly the very first Stratocaster in Australia.
