This sunburst Fender Stratocaster from 1959 looks and plays superbly. The Fender Factory Re-finish appears to be from around 1960 - 1961 when the Red disappears from the three tone sunburst.

Holding this guitar next to our 1960 Sunburst finish Stratocaster, from the back, it looks identical. The finish has the many years of lacquer cracking to show for it, beautiful!

The guitar has the nail punch holes that accompany Factory Refinished Guitars. Both the neck and the body are punched with the guitars serial number using small dents on the wood work, both of which are hidden in the neck to body join. (See detailed images)

With a neck dates 12/58 and a body dated 01/59, this is a very early 1959 Stratocaster that retains the '58 neck profile.

Apart from a couple of small changes this is a superb guitar with the classic look and feel of a 1950's Stratocaster.
