Fender Stratocaster 1965 Sunburst

This Fender Stratocaster from 1965 would have some stories to tell. It has certainly seen its fair share of smokey pubs and years of honest playing. It just has that look that the modern day Fender Custom Shop try so hard to recreate.

The worn Sunburst body conjures up images of other famous 'bursts played by guitar legends like Rory Gallagher and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

A transition Strat, this one features green pickguard with Pearl fretboard makers and bigger Fender logo. This is what we call at Jacksons a "Cassidy Strat". Steve's all-time favorite guitar hero David Cassidy played this same model Strat. Some say it was the soulful playing of the Partridge Family guitar god that began Steve's love affair with the Fender Strat : )
