Leo Fender designed the original Fender Stratocaster to out do all other electric guitars of the time. When first released in 1954, it was a guitar for tomorrow, and after 50 years, it still is.
This Strat has the sounds you get from a JUNE 1954 highly grained Ash body. Like many old Stratocasters that were in players hands during the early seventies raw wood phase, not all revealed such amazing grain. This was one of those Strats.
All fifties Fender Stratocasters and Precision Basses are exciting; imagine how incredible it was to own one new within the first year or so of production.
This guitar has seen many more gigs than that guitar and it feels great because of it! The neck and body shows signs of thousands of gigs, and with a neck like this (V-Shape) one play tells you why.
