Fender Telecaster Blonde 1971
When I started collecting guitars it was 1974. The new thing for Fender was the three bolt neck on the Stratocaster. The Telecasters however stayed true to their 1950's and 60s four-bolt construction. Virtually unchanged from a late 1960's version.
The new TV shows in 1971 were great..... Shows like, All in the Family, Columbo, Upstairs Downstairs, Help - It's the Hair Bear Bunch :) Plus ... The Sonny and Cher Show.
Then there were the movies in 1971 ..... Harold and Maude, The Last Picture Show, Dirty Harry, A Clockwork Orange. All great shows and movies, not all for kids though. For me, the radio was well on my dial. The big songs of 1971, Maggie Mae, Me and Bobby McGee, It's too late, My Sweet Lord. That's where the Tele fits in to 1971 .... Music! Unlike some things in 1971, this one makes sense, makes great sounds, is light, very original and it's yours to play!.
If you are yet to play a 1971 Telecaster, we feel you are in for a treat! The necks are sooo good, beautiful, round and full. This guitar features light weight Ash with the grain floating through the Blonde finish. The sound is yours!
Steve Jackson.
