If it wasn't for Keith Richards, we wouldn't have this guitar to sell. You see, it was Keith who started the whole idea of making new guitars look old.

He had ordered a few guitars from Fender's then new custom shop but when they arrived they looked so new and so clean he didn't want to play them, so he sent them back and asked Fender if they could bang them up a bit for him. The result was Keith loved them and Fender saw a great opportunity.

This Tele is a relic from the Fender Custom Shop. Its beautiful Candy Apple Red finish has been cracked, banged, and worn. Not too severely but enough to make it look like a Tele that has survived and conquered since 1963.

The guard is suitably green, the fingerboard is a lovely piece of rosewood over the maple neck. And the whole guitar is very light and comfortable to play. In fact, it's a comfortable as an old Tele.
