In 1990 Gibson reissued the classic Chet Atkins Tennessean model, with a single rounded cutaway-archtop, two humbuckers, f-holes, stop tailpiece and bound body. This particular example is from 2002 and is in near mint condition.

The Chet Atkins Tennessean, one of Chet's popular endorsement models of the late '50s and '60s, but this new version has new features such as a fast-action neck and banjo-style armrest.

The laminated maple body features a Chromyte center block with a three-piece Maple/Special Chet Atkins slim-taper neck and an Ebony/Offset dot inlay fretboard.
