Now this is rare! We haven't seen a Gibson Mandola at Jacksons for a very, very long time. This beauty is nearly one hundred years old and is in fine condition for its age. The H-4 model Mandola is the fanciest Mandola made by Gibson with an oval sound hole. Only the H-5 with f-holes supersedes it.

If you have never heard of or played a Mandola, it is similar to a Mandolin only with a slightly bigger body, wider neck and longer scale length. If you are like me and find Mandolins difficult to get around on you will really enjoy playing a Mandola with it capacious appointments. The sound is exceptional too, with lots of projection.

Made in 1914 just prior to WWI, this is a superb piece of history!
