Back in 1960 when the Les Paul (as we know it) became a double cutaway, slim bodied tremolo machine (Sound Familiar?). The five year extended contract with Les Paul was halfway through. By 1963 Les Paul's name had disappeared. The Guitar was renamed the SG Standard.

This is a nice SG Junior from early 1965. The big advantage to this early '65 manufacture date is that the guitar retains the wider neck profile like the earlier models.

I love this axe. A 1972 SG Pro from 1972. The P-90 pickups scream on this guitar and it sounds fabulous! It has loads of 70s vibe.
