Gretsch Country Club 6190 Cadillac Green 1960
Detailed Images   Detailed Images
How's this for a Rare Beauty? Maybe only the second one Jacksons have been lucky enough to see! The country club was one of the first Gretsch modern style guitars, in the form of an Electromatic in 1951. By 1954 The Country Club had it familiar name.

Finding an early original Country Club is fun. Finding one in Cadillac Green is tremendous fun. The Cadillac Green finish (like Fender finishes) were from the DuPont company that made finishes for cars. Some of those classic Fender colours found on the '56 & '57 Chev's have names like Twilight Turquoise, Inca Silver, Surf Green and of course Sherwood Green, which incidentally is very close in appearance to Cadillac Green ..... another Car Colour ??? :)

The addition of a Bigsby Tremolo on this Country Club adds to the excitement & appeal of this very rare instrument. It sounds so good a certain Oil may want it back .... and I am not talking about cars here !
