Jacksons Rare Guitars . Martin D-28 1943 Herringbone

Martin D-28 1943 Herringbone
Martin D-28 1943 Herringbone  The Martin 28 style guitar is a spruce top with rosewood body. The model 28 has been the mainstream of the Martin guitar line since the late-1800s.

With awesome sound, many famous stars have used the D-28 as their main guitar. This lovely 1943 D-28 is without a doubt one of those most sought after "Herringbone" pre 1947 Martin guitars.

Being one of those "Wholly Grail" rare pre-war Martin D-28 model, it features herribone trim, and incredible Brazilian rosewood Back & Sides. As all pre 1944 Martin's this guitar features the highly desirable Scalloped Bracing.

Besides the last Pre war D-45 that we had through, This has got to be the best sounding D series Martin we have had! Not forgetting this was Martins top of the line Dreadnought after the D-45 was discontinued in the previous year.

One of three Herringbones in Australia. A rare treat to hear, please come in & hear for yourself!
