National Model D Square Neck Walnut 
The first of National's Spider-bridge-cone wood-bodied guitars, the Model D has a laminate walnut sunburst maple top complemented by conventional screened sound-hole rings and fan motif nickel-plated coverplate.

The sides are solid walnut with a walnut laminate back. The standard square neck is walnut with a lap-style flat ebony fingerboard.

The slotted headstock has an engraved black|white|black overlay and vintage style, open gear, three-on-a-plate tuners.
