Gibson L5 Wes Montgomery Red Wine

Wes Montgomery ordered his guitars direct from Gibson. He loved the L5 CES model but didn't need the rear pickup, so he got his with just the front pickup. This left a little more wood on the top and thus the guitar sounded different electrically and better acoustically.

Now this is rare! We haven't seen a Gibson Mandola at Jacksons for a very, very long time. This beauty is nearly one hundred years old and is in fine condition for its age. The H-4 model Mandola is the fanciest Mandola made by Gibson with an oval sound hole. Only the H-5 with f-holes supersedes it.
