In the early '60's, The Beatles were just starting to record and the engineers at EMI complained about their amps, saying they were too noisy to record. Brian Epstein talked Vox into supplying his boys with new amplifiers and in return the group agreed to use Vox exclusively. This proved to be a great deal for Vox.

As pop music grew in popularity and attracted bigger audiences, the early AC 30's didn't really cut through in the bigger auditoriums. When The Beatles and other Vox users started complaining Vox added the 'top boost' control to the circuit to give their amps more cutting power on stage. And it is this amp that we most associate with The Beatles and is the one players from all around the world value most highly.

This one from the early '70's so close enough to the Swinging Sixties, you can feel the heritage and history when you look at it. And when you play your favourite guitar through it, you can hear it too.
